The geography of the competition is expanding and we are waiting for relevant interesting projects from the Republic of Buryatia.

The grant competition for environmental projects has been running since 2020 and is part of the comprehensive En + Group program to protect Lake Baikal and aquatic ecosystems from harmful environmental influences “A world with a plus sign”. It has been held at the initiative of the founder of Oleg Deripaska since 2011 and includes environmental, social, scientific, educational and educational projects.

In 2021, En + Group supported 22 projects from 8 cities – Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Angarsk, Ust-Ilimsk, Baikalsk, Divnogorsk and Mias. A total of 150 applications were received for the competition. The winners have spent seasons of the Smart Holidays Environmental Education Project in the botanical garden, eco-design exhibitions, received more than 50 classes and keynote lectures, and organized the Green Animation Festival.

The grant made it possible to create 100 artificial nests for birds, conduct volunteer activities to clean up garbage, collect rare plants and seeds, keep records of rare animals, as well as create a huge piece of art from recycled materials 26 km from the Baikal tract. The result of the activists’ activities was the cleaning of ecological streams and paths, a well-maintained beach area.
