Translation& CloseCurlyQuote; Ethanol for renewable chemicals and jet fuel provides ethanol producers with new product capabilities

Palm Beach Garden, Florida, Jan. 12, 2022 (Globe Newswire) – Blue biofuels, Inc. (PINK: Beov). Vertimass and Blue biofuels have expanded their previous licensing agreement to allow Blue Biofuels to convert additional ethanol into renewable jet fuels and other biohydrocarbons using Vertimass technology. Blue Biofuels believes this extended licensing agreement has the potential to help the company supply the world with more renewable fuels and chemicals and thus combat climate change.

Many countries have begun to impose a percentage of the jet fuel used by commercial airlines from renewable sources. Vertimass Blue Biofuels’ technology will enable sustainable aviation fuel production to help fulfill this mandate. We aim to expand further into the supply chain with complementary technologies and to become a complete supplier of biofuels, bioplastics and biochemicals, & CloseCurlyDoubleQuote; Note Ben Slager, CEO of Blue Biofuels.

“We look forward to partnering with Blue Biofuels to convert ethanol into much-needed sustainable jet fuel and renewable chemicals, & CloseCurlyDoubleQuote; said John Hanoun, Vertimass COO.

Around VERTIMASS & CloseCurlyQuote; technology

Vertimass & CloseCurlyQuote; The technology allows for the sustainable production of these types of biofuels derived from ethanol with high yields that can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions compared to sourcing these products from petroleum. Vertimass technology can also produce chemicals that are widely used in the building blocks from which hundreds of consumer products are made, ranging from pharmaceuticals to paints and plastics.

Vertimass’ technology for producing jet fuel and chemicals from cellulosic ethanol offers producers, such as Blue Biofuels, the flexibility to diversify their product portfolio and market renewable fuels and chemicals with low carbon footprints. In addition to improving competitiveness, jet fuel and ethanol-derived chemicals can accelerate the transition to renewable fuels and chemicals and improve rural economies.

About Blue Biofuels & CloseCurlyQuote; cTstechnology

Blue Biofuels & CloseCurlyQuote; Cellulose to Sugar (CTS) technology provides a near-zero carbon footprint process that can convert virtually any plant material—grass, wood, paper, farm waste, yard waste, forest products, fruit casings, nut shells, and the cellulosic fraction of municipal waste solids— to sugars and lignin. The sugars are subsequently processed into biofuels. Lignin can also be converted into bioplastics. The CTS process is a technology patented and independently owned by the company’s wholly owned Blue Biofuels.

Blue Biofuels & CloseCurlyQuote; Management believes that the biofuels generated by the company’s CTS process and CloseCurlyQuote; s will be eligible for generous credits for D3 Renewable Cellulose Fuel (“RINs & CloseCurlyDoubleQuote;”). The D3 RIN is currently about $3 a gallon of ethanol, which can provide income in addition to income from ethanol sales. This incentive is offered to all fuel producers Domestic cellulosic whose fuel is used in the transportation industry. This mandate was 620 million gallons for 2021 and was proposed to be 770 million gallons for 2022 but has not yet been finalized by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
